Thank you for posting. I wasn’t going to share but thought it’s time now. Wen died wearing this favorite shirt. When he was disoriented and lost, he fought with muscle memory that would make y’all proud. I’m grateful I was able to hold and calm him for those last few hours. But he fought for his life until he knew it was safe to let go. And you should proud of what he learned with you.
When we were not at Kali Klub Sa Sipa or Kali Klub sa Fil-am arts, we would practice at the UCLA dorm that I ran. We would do footwork around the UCLA campus. Imagine a bunch of Filipinos running around with sticks doing FMA footwork? Lol we must have scared a lot of people. But for almost 4 years, once a week or more we would have FMA as part of our lives. I can still remember when he asked Mang Faust to design his "ohm-kali" tattoo. I was thinking of getting one in his remembrance. I need to talk to Mang Faust and see if he is still healthy enough to commission one for me. Wen was an awesome soul. And a passionate individual who touched so many lives.
Thanks for the memory. I’m sure it will be a great comfort to Siyam when he’s ready to go through this page. Please let me know how Mang Faustino is doing and if he designs a tattoo for you. I’m getting Wendell’s exact same tattoo done for me very soon.
